“I started playing tennis just before I turned 40 and encouraged my children to play when they were little. Attending weekly coaching sessions with them definitely paid off! It’s been great to play together as a family, even when we’ve been on holiday. When the village lost its courts at the primary school, my passion of providing a facility for local children drove me to look for an alternative venue.

The committee and I worked hard to apply for funding and it took years to complete. But having such a fabulous safe environment that local people can use makes it all worthwhile. My family have been very supportive and we still like to play tennis together when we get the chance.”
