What Are The Rules Regarding Clothing/Footwear?
Footwear is most important to help maintain the courts, soles must be non-marking, not ridged or studded i.e. proper tennis shoes and not trainers.
How Can I Help At The Club?

Report Damage Or Unacceptable Behaviour?
Climbing the fences/gate is strictly prohibited. Any sightings of such behaviour should be reported to the Club immediately.
How Do I Use The Floodlights?
Tokens must be purchased from the club committee members (each token costs £2 for 30 minutes), insert the token into the corresponding numbered box with the court you wish to play on in the floodlight box near the entrance.
How Do I Find Someone To Play with?
The best way to get involved is to contact one of the committee members who can put you in touch with other players, or the club coach.
Can I Bring A Guest?
You are welcome to bring guests (up to 4 times in any rolling year) although obviously we prefer people to join. The £1.00 fee is payable to the Club Secretary.

Does The Club Offer Coaching?
Yes. Junior coaching takes place on Monday evenings from 5.30pm-6.30pm. Please feel free to pop along on a Monday evening (from 5.30pm) to have a chat with our Coach.
Non members are welcome to join in coaching sessions – please have a chat with our Coach.

Do I need to book a Court?
There is no need to book a court at the moment. If you arrive at the courts and all 3 are busy, please refer to the court rules located in the noticeboard.
If the Committee decide to us a booking system in the future, members will be notified on how to use it.
Tennis Balls
Tennis balls are not provided and members should provide their own balls.
Can I Play In A Team?
For the 2022 season, GGTC will be entering the following teams in the Leicestershire Leagues:
Mixed doubles
Men’s doubles
Men’s winter league

Court Etiquette
GGTC is a relaxed and friendly club but please be mindful of other players on court, especially if a match is being played.
We have a set of court rules which are located in the notice board on court – please refer to them if you need to.
Under no circumstances should bikes, roller skates or scooters be used inside the courts
Please be extra vigilant when cricket matches are being play or when the cricket team are practising.
Changing Rooms – When can they be accessed?
During coaching sessions and during matches/social events. They are owned by the Parish Council and are shared with the football and cricket clubs
How do I obtain Wimbledon Tickets?
GGTC are given an allocation from the LTA; based on the number of registered British Tennis Members within the club. All members are encouraged to register which is free of charge, so that they can enter the ballot. The Wimbledon tickets are allocated in pairs.
